8 to 26 November – The Unrest Cure by Simon Godziek and Rob Groves, at The Pentameters Theatre, Hampstead. World Premiere!! The World premiere of a new comedy, commissioned by this well-respected Hampstead fringe theatre, and set in 1932. The authors tell us that the plot, characters and humour, whilst 100% original, are steeped in the tradition of PG Wodehouse, and the play was written as a tribute to him. Certainly the plot seems to have all the right ingredients – we are promised impostors and mistaken identities, confusions and coincidences, wit and word-play all contributing to mysterious goings-on at the hitherto rather dull Sea View Hotel. 27 November – London Walks Wodehouse Walk Richard Burnip, a guide with London Walks, will be leading a Wodehouse-themed walk, mostly around Mayfair. The usual fee is £8 but Society members, students and seniors over 65 get a discounted price of £6. There is no need to book a place; just be at exit 2 (Park Lane east side) of Marble Arch Underground station at 2.30 pm and identify yourself as a Society member.

28 February 2012 – Society Meeting As usual, this meeting will be held in the upstairs room of The George, 213 Strand, London WC2R 1AP, starting at 6 pm. The night’s entertainment will be a dramatisation drawn from the first part of Over Seventy.

15 and 16 September 2012 – Royal County of Berkshire Show The Society sponsors the Berkshire Champion of Champions competition, for which judging takes place on Sunday morning at the show grounds in Newbury.

25 October 2012 – Dinner at Gray’s Inn Application forms and full details regarding the Society’s biennial dinner at Gray’s Inn will be supplied in the June 2012 edition of Wooster Sauce. Applicants must be a member of the Society to attend the dinner.
