January 13 2019 – Richard Burnip’s Wodehouse Walk

Richard Burnip will lead a Wodehouse-themed walk for London Walks (note: this is not a Society-sponsored event). The usual fee is £10 but our members get a discounted price of £8. No need to book a place; just be at Exit 2 (Park Lane East side) of Marble Arch Underground station at 2.30pm and identify yourself as a Society member.


February 8 2019 – Michael Law - “Travels with Sheridan Morley”

At the Astor Community Theatre, Stanhope Road, Deal at 8.00 pm. A lecture (with musical interludes) “Travels with Sheridan Morley” includes songs by Noël Coward and Cole Porter and lyrics by PG Wodehouse. Details and tickets here.

February 21 2019 – What Ho! At The British Library

A night of readings, music and stories linking Wodehouse's life and work, as inspired by his personal items on display in the British Library Treasures gallery such as his Warwickshire cricket club tie with links to a real bowler called Jeeves. With Robert McCrum, journalist and author of Wodehouse: A Life, and singer Hal Cazalet, Wodehouse’s step great-grandson and expert in the field of his music and lyrics. Chaired by Matthew Bannister. 7.00 pm on Thursday 21st February, tickets available here.


March 10 2019 – Richard Burnip’s Wodehouse Walk

March 21 to April 14 2019 – Perfect Nonsense in Hartford, Connecticut

May 11 to 18 2019 – A Damsel in Distress

The Whitefield Garrick Society perform “A Damsel in Distress” by PG Wodehouse and Ian Hay next May. Details are here. Director, Andrew Close, hopes to meet members attending.
