Since its inception, The P G Wodehouse Society (UK) has issued a quarterly journal, entitled Wooster Sauce, to members and By The Way, also quarterly since 2010, which features bonus articles on special topics.  Both are issued in March, June, September and December, and provide a wealth of information for keen Wodehouseans. The Society has also published five additional items in journal format between 2000 and 2012 describing Society events of interest.

Wooster Sauce is 24 pages – sometimes more – with both humorous and scholarly articles on PGW and his works, as well as photos, graphics, poems, quotes, reviews, and Society news.  Contributions come from members – and occasionally non-members – from all over the world.  Section F a lists the date of each journal number. The Guide to the Index to the contents of Wooster Sauce is expected to be updated on approximately an annual basis, at which time the text of a further year’s publications will be added to the archive of digitised printings.

From June 1998 until September 2009, By The Way was published three times a year, in March, June and September.  In December each year members successively received instead of another issue of By The Way, one of the unrepublished ‘Kid Brady’ stories, followed by a printing of the original (and different) ending of Leave It To Psmith to be found in the Saturday Evening Post, and finally instalments of The Swoop, which at that date had not been republished in the UK.

The Society events for which special publications were produced are:

Millennium Tour, reporting a Society event in London and Shropshire, 17-23 July, 2000.

We Remember You Well, recalling a day in June 1988 when her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother unveiled a plaque at a London house where Plum and Ethel had once lived, and published in June 2002.

Back the Berkshire, introducing the Emsworth paradox and encouraging members to support the maintenance of the Berkshire pig breed by eating the meat its breeders produce, published June 2005.

A Week With Wodehouse:  reporting a Society event, 8-15 July, 2007

A Weekend With Wodehouse:  reporting a Society event in Norfolk, 24-28 May, 2012.
